Biography
Erin focuses her practice defending prominent corporations, municipalities, retailers, and transportation companies in a range of civil liability claims including construction, premises liability, property damage, and motor vehicle accidents. She has years practicing in both Federal Court as well as New York State Courts. Erin has defended clients through all phases of litigation from discovery, to trials and appeals. She has briefed appeals in both the First Department and Second Department of the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division.
Erin’s past experience has made her proficient in the multifaceted layers of litigation, including gathering evidence, conducting complex investigations, and researching various legal issues. This assists her in defending clients not only in civil litigation matters, but also in federal court litigation involving constitutional violations and 42. U.S.C. Section 1983 actions. Erin has also worked in an operations firm where she handled claims analysis for a multi-billion-dollar environmental fund, which included oversight of internal protocol compliance. Through this experience, Erin has gained an appreciation of the nuances and intricacies of claims analysis and proper handling of internal procedures thereby giving her a unique perspective when not only meeting a client’s needs but also in zealously advocating for her clients. This has allowed Erin to recognize the importance of developing a meaningful relationship with clients and understanding each client’s exclusive requirements.
During her tenure at New York Law School, Erin was a member of the Moot Court Team and participated in various competitions across the country. She was the recipient of various awards during her time on the team and as a member of the Executive Board. The skills she learned during her tenure on the team have carried over into present day practice. Her aptitude to fervently present a case on behalf of a client in the mock trial setting has carried over into her current practice as she has taken a number of cases to verdict in state court. She has experience handling both jury trials and summary jury trials in Bronx County, Kings County, New York County, and Westchester County.
Outside of her legal career, Erin loves spending time with her two kids. Together, they enjoy time at the beach, traveling, and staying active. Her kids are developing the same love of traveling that Erin has with recent trips to Ireland, Turks & Caicos, and Florida. Growing up, Erin was a competitive dancer traveling across the country to compete. Her daughter shares the same passion for dance as she does, and Erin is learning the ins and outs of the sports world with her sports-fanatic son. In her free time, Erin likes a good book and is an avid gym-goer.
