Biography
Josh has spent two decades defending construction companies, property owners, developers, contractors, architects, trucking companies, product manufacturers, medical professionals, self-insureds, captive groups, and insurers. Josh approaches his work with thoroughness, professionalism, and creativity, and seeks to combine the traditional practice of law with outside-the-box thinking to reach effective client solutions.
Josh’s main practice areas include the New York State Labor Law, insurance coverage, contractual loss transfer, risk prevention and management, and complex medical and damages defense. He has been named a Super Lawyer since 2012, was named to the Rue Rating’s Best Attorneys in America, was invited to join the Construction Lawyers Society of America, and participated in the IADC Trial Academy at Stanford University.
Josh attended Allegheny College, where he played for one of the top Division 3 baseball programs in the county and was selected to college baseball’s Team America. The lessons he learned about teamwork, preparation, and competition carry through to the practice of law.
Josh obtained his law degree from the University of Baltimore, where he focused on trial technique and mediation, both through his coursework and his clinical work for the Maryland Attorney General’s Office.
When outside of the office, Josh, his wife, and their 2 boys (ages 7 and 10) are active both on and off the sports fields. His personal outside interests include military history and very amateur carpentry.
