Biography
Nicole focuses her practice on defending corporations, retailers, insurance companies and individuals in a range of civil liability claims including premises liability, property damage and motor vehicle accidents. She has years of experience practicing in both Federal Court as well as New Jersey State Courts. Nicole has defended clients throughout all phases of litigation from inception to discovery, to trials and appeals.
Her past experience has made her proficient in the complex nature of litigation including the gathering of evidence, conducting investigations and researching various legal issues. Having spent over 10 years as in-house trial counsel for insurance companies she has an in depth understanding of the processes involved in ensuring a matter is litigated properly from inception and the resources and information required throughout discovery to be successful at the time of trial. She has knowledge of the claims environment and how to evaluate matters to simultaneously allow for timely and successful settlement as well as prepare the matter for the possibility of trial. She has experience handling both full and expedited jury trials and has taken verdicts in New Jersey Superior Court in Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset, and Union counties as well as briefing and arguing matters before the New Jersey Appellate Division.
Originally from New York she went to SUNY Binghamton where she graduated with a dual Bachelors of Arts degree in History and Psychology before attending law school. While attending Quinnipiac University School of Law she was a member of the Moot Court Team, having won best brief in the Terrence Benbow Moot Court Competition. She also represented Quinnipiac in various competitions as both a competitor as well as a student coach. These experiences sparked her initial enjoyment of vigorous advocacy of clients which has only grown throughout her career.
Outside of work Nicole loves spending time with her husband, daughter and son. She relishes watching her children grow and follow their various interests which currently include competitive dance and team sports. She enjoys traveling with her family as well as baking and reading.
